Cameron Peak Fire

During the summer of 2020, it felt like all of Colorado was burning. This fire burned to within a couple of miles of my home, but since this area burned in the High Park fire in 2012, there just isn’t anything left.

SH 14 at the bottom of the canyon. You can smell the smoke.
This was high noon, right before Labor Day. Hight right around 100. The next day, it snowed 6 inches.
Sometimes beauty arises from chaos. This was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.
